In the details....

What makes home, home? The details. You know....the dog that meets you at the door each day....that comfy chair....those familar sights and sounds....your bed and pillow. The details. The small things. That's why I am trying to take the time to create rooms for the kids that have details that they will remember.

For example...remember this post? The detail that went into the music made this her room. As did the specific piece of music that is framed and hangs over her bed.

Well, last night I put this up in the boys' room.

For some reason - I thought of my boys when I saw it. They do get up and hit the floor running with energy abound such that they could move mountains, or so it would seem. And although our 7 yr old is still trying to figure out the deeper meaning of this statement, it will be on of those deatails that will make this room, his room!

Tis the season....

FOR BALL!!! Soccer and baseball are upon us, with a little baton on the side. Include in that church and school activities and we're hoppin'. Never home. On the go. Livin' in the burb and LOVIN' IT!

Here are a few highlights from our soccer games this weekend. Maxx got to play goalie and did spend some time out on the field during one half. Chaela also got in some good play time. Both teams did great!

Thank you Easter Bunny...

Or in the case of my children, it should go something like "Thank you Easter Nanny". We kicked off easter with some goodies from Nanny and Poppy. Strawberry icing for all and water Webkinz - how cool!

Then we did Easter dinner and a little relaxing afterwards - now Mik (our 4 yr old) had to teach his grandparents and great grandparents all about Webkinz!

After Easter services the kids came home and looked through what the Easter Bunny had left and topped off our day with a movie and naps! How nice!!!!!

The weather was beautiful and it was a gorgeous day to celebrate our Risen Savior!!!

A hunting we will go

That's how we started out Easter 2009. With a great egg hunt with dear friends. The kids had so much fun and the company was grand. We all had fun helping Chaela look for her REALLY WELL HIDDEN eggs (they may have gone overboard since she was the only teenager). Now that's what you call a good friend - when they help make life fun for your teen.

Here are a few pix from the morning.

Chaela and Baby Jake

Kara - also the Birthday Girl of the weekend

Bryanna and Maxx - do you see an egg in the tree?

Mik finding an egg

The girls down in the field - yes there were eggs out that far!

Just liked this pix

Mighty Maxx looking for eggs - I see one!

Kyle and Dagan - double trouble

Chaela and Maxx - who is helping who?

Bailey - oh sweet and innocent Bailey!

The whole gang - so much fun!

Let's do it again next year gang!

24 frogs...48 legs....192 froggy toes....

'nuf said? Wow - have to say I am glad to be done with these little guys. That's a lot of circles and ovals and toes - oh my! These are for a card swap that I cannot attend, but will participate in this weekend. Wish I could have done a little more, but it's a busy week.

As always - these are made with all SU supplies including pink, blue and green papers from the soft subtles family along with the brads that coordinate. The flowers are from Simply Said and colored with markers once stamped.

If April showers bring May flowers - April snow brings...

Well-I don't know what it brings other than a cold day on which we planned to grill out. And a few frigid flowers.
